I am Dr. R. K. Nayak from National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC,Hyderabad) of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) with research interest on the subject: geophysical fluid dynamics, remote sensing, ocean circulation and regional carbon cycle modeling. Presently, I am working on Carbon Cycle Modeling and Simulation (CCMS) module of National Carbon Project (NCP) of ISRO-Geosphere Biosphere Program. NCP is initiated during 2007 under leadership of Dr. V. K. Dadhwal with basic aim to strengthen regional databases and improve in current understanding of Carbon Cycle at regional and global scales. We use CASA Terrestrial Ecosystem Model, Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS), Princeton Ocean Model (POM) and GEOS-Chem Atmosphere Transport moedel in our work for analysis and understanding of remote sensing observation.

I have received MSc in Physics from Utkal University (in 1999) and PhD in Physics from Goa University (in 2005) under the Guidance of Dr. S. R. Shetye.
