Global Tropospheric Aerosol Burdens

The table below lists the mean annual global tropospheric burden of several aerosol species in [Tg]. All values are obtained from 1-year benchmark simulations at 4° x 5° resolution.

NOTES:

  • The simulations that utilized GEOS-5 met fields were done with a 4-year spinup and were computed by Hongyu Liu.
  • For v9-02r, tropopause values for June and July 2012 were used as estimates for June and July 2013 and were computed by Karen Yu.
  • The simulations for GEOS-Chem v10-01 and later versions were done with a 4-year spinup and were completed by the GEOS-Chem Support Team.
