My primary research target is to improve our understanding of the carbon cycle through combination of observation and modeling platform. Currently, I'm interested in quantifying methane emissions from oil and gas industries in Western Canada. To accomplish this, I use several atmospheric data resources, such as observations from satellites, aircraft, and surface networks, and interpret them in the context of atmospheric models. I am currently a PhD candidate at University of Northern BC (UNBC). Prior to that, I also investigated air quality using satellite and passive sensors over an area of oil and gas development activities in Northeast BC, Canada. I originally grew up in Bangladesh (southeast Asia) where I completed B.Sc and M.Sc at Environmental Sciences. I enjoy travel and outdoor activities with friends and families.
