I am a research associate with the UC Davis Delta Group under the direction of Thomas Cahill. I have a PhD in Environmental Geography and an MS in Atmospheric Science both obtained from UC Davis. My research involves looking at the impacts of Asian dust on Mauna Loa and Lake Tahoe and also air pollutants associated with these dust plumes including black carbon. I am also assisting people in studying the impacts of black carbon from Asian dust on the Greenland ice sheet and comparing this to optics data and elemental measured directly over the Greenland ice sheet by DRUM samplers. Furthermore, I hope to look at how short term variations in climate impact the transport of Asian dust to Lake Tahoe, Mauna Loa and Greenland.
