GEOS-Chem Versions Page

This page includes information about GEOS-Chem 14.6.3. This version is a Z-release which means it causes no differences in the full-chemistry benchmark simulation using MERRA2.

GEOS-Chem 14.6.3 now officially supports the GEOS-IT meteorology product from GMAO! You may now drive your simulations with GEOS-IT meteorology.

Restart files carbon
  • Several dummy species in the carbon mechanism were renamed in version 14.6.0. We now provide restart files for the carbon simulation with these renamed species, so that the out-of-the-box carbon simulations will not crash.
  • NOTE: These will be superseded in GEOS-Chem 14.7.0, when we will provide restart files obtained from 1-year carbon benchmark simulations.
